Statistics Canada recruits 32,000 people for the 2026 Census!
The next Census of Population will take place in May 2026. To carry out this important task, Statistics Canada is hiring some 32,000 people across Canada to help residents complete their census questionnaires.
Every five years, the national census of Canadians gathers valuable information on their demographic, social, economic and housing situation. The data collected is essential to each community’s service planning, and creates rewarding jobs. These jobs enable residents to support their communities, while earning an income and developing their skills.
What will you do?
In census jobs, employees go door-to-door to collect completed questionnaires. The rate of pay is $25.87 per hour for enumerators (non-supervisory positions) and $31.32 for team leaders (supervisory positions), plus reimbursement of authorized expenses.
