The efforts of an engaged committee

The action plan follow-up committee is made up of members representing families and seniors in the community. Their role is, among other things, to monitor the action plan in light of progress made and changes underway in the community.

They met 2 times during 2025, and some members are also responsible for carrying out initiatives.

For example, throughout the year, FADOQ Les Deux Monts held tablet and telephone technology workshops at the Sutton Municipal and School Library, now including a session in English. CAB Sutton’s Café 50+ offered 5 activities on the prevention of elder abuse, with a total of 97 participants. Finally, the Maison des jeunes Le Spot is looking to recruit an outreach worker to work with adolescent youth and homeless people in the community.

We continue in 2026!

In 2026, several actions will continue, while others will begin, including:

  • Updating the active circuit plan (action 1.2.1);
  • The creation of gathering places by completing the installations begun in 2025 on the bike path (action 5.2.1);
  • Development of priority infrastructures by replacing obsolete furniture and adding adapted furniture in parks (action 7.3.1).

A total of 21 objectives has been targeted for the year 2026: these will be broken down into 32 actions, which in turn will lead to 60 expected results.

The action plan remains an evolving process in which other expected results may be added. The follow-up committee will continue its diligent work.
