Compost available at the Western Street site starting Monday, May 4!
Published on 1 May 2026
As of Monday, May 4, 2026, bulk compost will once again be available to the citizens of Sutton at the site owned by the Town, near 33 Western Street (next to Les Villas des Monts).
Please note that compost will be replenished twice a week during the season, on Mondays and Fridays around 8 a.m.
Reminder of instructions:
- In order to respect the peace and quiet of local residents, we ask our citizens to pick up compost only from Monday to Friday, between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. and on Saturday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
- Citizens can take a maximum of 100 liters per person at a time, and must bring all the tools needed to handle and transport the compost.
- Since the compost is of “all-purpose compost” quality, foreign bodies may be present. We recommend that you wear gloves when handling the product.
You can also obtain free compost year-round at the Écocentre régional in Cowansville, directly at the composting platform and during their opening hours.
Happy gardening season!
