Intermunicipal Agreements
The Town of Sutton signed two intermunicipal agreements for leisure activities: one with the Town of Cowansville and one with the Town of Granby.
Town of Cowansville
The 2025-2028 agreement exclusively allows Sutton citizens to pay the Cowansville resident rate for the following activities:
- Icer hockey;
- Figure skating;
- Municipal swimming lessons;
- The Cowansville swim team (regular season);
- Specialized courses in rescue and aquatic instructor;
- Minor soccer;
- Any other courses or workshops requiring registration and offered directly by the Recreation and Culture Department, with the exception of library services.
The reception capacity, however, is established by the Town of Cowansville.
Registration Procedure
Residents of Sutton can register for activities during registration periods reserved for municipalities with an intermunicipal agreement. Please contact the Town of Cowansville to find out their registration periods.

Town of Granby
This agreement allows Sutton residents to participate in recreational activities offered by the Town of Granby, enjoying certain privileges linked to the leisure card for one year. Privileges associated with the Granby leisure card are subject to change.

Presentation of the Granby leisure card is required to access services and activities.
Registration Procedure
First send a request for a residence certificate including your information (name, address, telephone number, and email address) to this email address: [email protected]. Once the Town of Sutton has processed your request, you will be contacted for an appointment in order to:
- Validate your proof of residence
- Sign your certificate
- Pay the fees owed to the Town of Sutton relating to the leisure card
Fees owed to the Town of Sutton are in addition to those applicable to activities and payable to the Town of Granby. These fees are set based on the amounts determined in the agreement signed with the Town of Granby, as provided for in the By-law establishing fees for the funding of certain goods, services, or activities of the Town currently in effect.
The fee for the year 2026 is $192.94 + taxes, per person.
