Outdoor Cinema

Since 2012, the Town of Sutton has offered free family screenings of Outdoor Cinema, a unique and free experience held during the summer.

In 2025, Outdoor Cinema moved to the Sutton School of Art, located at 79 Principale Street South in Sutton. With the goal of bringing all outdoor film activities together in one place and using a venue suitable for both good and bad weather, the Town of Sutton has mandated the Sutton School of Art to host and combine the four family film screenings of Outdoor Cinema with its summer film event, the Nocturnes.

Although the location has changed, the Outdoor Cinema screenings retain the same format: they are free and consist of two French-language films with English subtitles and two English-language films with French subtitles.

The enchanting setting of the Sutton School of Art creates a memorable shared experience, and the format of the Nocturnes invites film lovers and their families to discover the joy of open-air cinema in a festive and friendly atmosphere. Each evening features a refreshment stand and screenings of short films or short documentaries.

Les projections de Cinéma en plein air 2025 ont lieu les jeudis 3, 17, 31 juillet et le 7 août.

The 2026 Outdoor Cinema screenings will take place on Thursdays, July 2, 16, and 30, and August 13, 2026.
