Notice of Work to Replace a Culvert at the Top of Chemin Réal, August 3 through September 18

The Town of Sutton would like to inform residents and visitors that major construction work will take place from August 3 to September 18, 2026, to replace a large culvert located on Chemin Réal, between street addresses 998 and 1000, near the Pékan waterfall. Traffic and parking will be limited in this area.

The Third Screening of our Free Outdoor Cinema Will Take Place on July 30

The next screening from our free outdoor cinema will take place on Thursday, July 30, at the Sutton School of Art. On the program: three short films from the National Film Board of Canada and the Quebec feature film “Gaz Bar Blues”.

The Town of Sutton Adopts Its New Urban By-Laws

At the special meeting held on July 16, the Town council unanimously adopted its new Urban By-Laws. This major milestone marks the culmination of an extensive revision process, which began two and a half years ago, aimed at providing Sutton with a modernized regulatory framework that is consistent and adapted to both today’s realities and tomorrow’s challenges.

Paving Work on Maple Street: Traffic Disruption on Poissant Road on July 23

UPDATE – Weather permitting, the paving work currently underway under the supervision of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility (MTMDQ) will continue this THURSDAY, JULY 23, on Maple Street, one side of the road at a time. Drivers should expect a detour starting at Poissant Street.
