Héritage Sutton Historical Society
Héritage Sutton’s historical society’s mission is to preserve the history of Sutton and its surroundings, as well as the stories of the people and families who shaped it.
It manages collections and archival fonds, publishes booklets, and offers activities to showcase this heritage, often in partnership with other local organizations.
Héritage Sutton publishes twice a year, in spring and fall, History sketchbooks that introduce a wide audience to various chapters of local history. They feature texts in both French and English. The authors are history enthusiasts, professionals or not, who have thoroughly researched a given topic with the rigor required for every exercise in reconstructing the past.
This non-profit organization is open to the public every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (appointment recommended). It welcomes you for archival donations, heritage research requests, archive consultations, or to purchase its History Sketchbooks.
