Every five years, Statistics Canada conducts the national Population Census and the Agricultural Census. Data collection for both censuses began on May 4, 2026, across the country.

Participation in the census is mandatory. By law, every household must complete a 2026 Census of Population questionnaire. If you are a farm operator, you are also required by law to complete the 2026 Census of Agriculture questionnaire.

Have you received your code?

Households that have already received a census invitation letter in the mail containing a secure access code can complete their questionnaire online today. The online process is confidential and secure.
