A fully successful 4th edition of the Generations Party!
On Saturday, May 9, the fourth edition of the Generations Party was held on the Sutton School grounds. Under a wonderfully sunny sky, 300 people came to enjoy a delicious community meal and numerous activities for all ages.
The 2026 edition of the event, organized by the Table de développement des communautés de Sutton-Abercorn, once again brought together people of all generations for activities that encouraged encounters and exchanges.
Starting at 10 a.m., those present could enjoy a diverse program including storytelling, physical and artistic activities, intergenerational exchanges, nature discovery, dance, circus and inclusive hiking.

In addition to all these great activities, participants had the chance to meet some fifteen organizations offering services in Sutton.
The Table de développement des communautés de Sutton-Abercorn warmly thanks : Ballet-Théâtre Sutton, Sutton Vounteer Centre (CAB), Cirkaz, CIUSSSE/Éclaireurs, Club des ornithologues de Brome-Missisquoi, Coop Gym Santé Sutton, Corporation de développement économique de Sutton, En mouvement, Espace DesPrés, Espace Sutton, Sutton Traditional Fiddle Festival, Club FADOQ les Deux-Monts, Loco-Motion Estrie, Maison des jeunes de Sutton, Men’s Shed of Sutton, Parc d’environnement naturels de Sutton (PENS), Racine pop, Soccer Sutton, Solidarité Environnement Sutton, Tamara Hamelin of Knockin’ Boots, Territoires solidaires, Townshippers’ Association, Sutton Family Village and the Town of Sutton, who all contributed to making this 4th edition a real success.

The swap market organized by the Sutton School’s Parent Participation Organization (PPO) took place again this year. This ecological event encourages waste reduction through the exchange of goods and services. Tables were manned by young people from the school, members of FADOQ les Deux-Monts and Soccer Sutton. The public was invited to come and exchange objects or services with them!

A delicious free cold lunch of sandwiches and salads was served from noon onwards. Thanks to the work of numerous volunteers and the Racine pop organization, everyone was able to enjoy the meal in a convivial atmosphere that encouraged new encounters.

All day long, the atmosphere was joyous thanks to performances by local artists: Patrick Simard and TAMRITAM kicked off the party with the sound of tam-tams, followed by songs by Jon Cohen, a few numbers from the school’s Talent Show and traditional music by Karen & Friends. As for Agathe Génois, she strolled around the site playing her accordion, to the delight of young and old alike.
Thank you to David Baltazar, master of ceremony and sound engineer, for providing the musical ambience and entertainment throughout the Party!

The Table de développement des communautés de Sutton-Abercorn would like to extend its warmest thanks to the 15 volunteers whose invaluable contribution helped ensure the smooth running of the activities and the meal, as well as to all those who spontaneously lent a hand during set-up and take down. We would also like to thank the many citizens and organizations who lent their equipment.
It takes a village to hold such a successful event!
And, finally, thank you to everyone who came out to this warm and community-building event!
See you next year!
