A successful first edition of the “Meet&Greet I’m getting involved”!

On Tuesday, April 21 was the first edition of the "Meet&Greet I'm getting involved"!", organized by the Town of Sutton and the Sutton Volunteer Action Centre (CAB). The aim of the event was to bring together local organizations and citizens ready to get involved. Around a hundred people answered the call, demonstrating the importance of volunteering in the Sutton community.

Spring sunshine, lively music by Tristan Henderson and Willy Lemaistre, and an exclusive menu from the Microbrasserie & Auberge Sutton Brouërie all contributed to the success of this festive and caring event.

From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the CAB Sutton, some 100 citizens were able to meet 15 local non-profit organizations offering services and opportunities for involvement here in Sutton. There was something for every taste and schedule: many people found volunteer opportunities that suited them!

Couldn’t make it? Check out the volunteer opportunities bulletin board on our website: sutton.ca/volunteer/!

CAB Sutton and the Town of Sutton would like to thank Isabelle Charest, MNA, Minister of Sport, Recreation and Outdoors, and Minister responsible for the Eastern Townships, for her financial contribution, which enabled us to offer a cold buffet during the event.
