Compost available at Western Street site starting April 18

As of April 18, 2022, bulk compost will once again be available to the citizens of Sutton at the site owned by the Town, near 33 Western Street (Villa des Monts).

In order to respect the peace and quiet of the residents, we ask our citizens to pick up compost between Monday and Friday, between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Citizens may take a maximum of 1 m3 (1.3yd3) per person and must bring all the necessary tools for handling and transporting the compost.

Since the compost is “all-purpose” quality, foreign matter may be present. We recommend that you wear gloves when handling the product.

Please note that you can obtain free compost all year long at the Regional Ecocentre located in Cowansville, directly at the composting platform at the following times

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Closed on Sundays and holidays
