Financial assistance from the Government of Quebec to victims of the storm of December 23 and 24, 2022
The Programme général d’indemnisation et d’aide financière lors de sinistres réels ou imminents (in French only – General Indemnity and Financial Assistance Program Regarding Actual or Imminent Disasters) of the Ministère de la Sécurité publique has included the municipality of Sutton among the towns affected by the winter storm of December 23 and 24.
Thus, the citizens of Sutton who were affected by this storm could benefit from financial assistance. The victims considered are:
- Individuals, due to damage to their essential property or temporary accommodation costs;
- Businesses or agricultural enterprises;
- Owners of rental buildings;
- Community organizations that provided assistance.
