Monday, May 19: holiday for the Journée nationale des Patriotes

The Town Hall offices and the Municipal and School Library will be closed on Monday, May 19, 2025 in observance of the Journée nationale des Patriotes. The Journée nationale des Patriotes (National Patriots Day), which replaced the Fête de Dollard, has been celebrated since 2003 on the Monday before May 25. It commemorates the struggle of the Patriots in 1837-1838 for the recognition of their nation, political freedom and the establishment of a democratic government. At the federal level and in other provinces, this public holiday is dedicated to Victoria Day, in honor of the birth of Queen Victoria. Happy holiday to all! .
