Notice of work for the protection of the main sewer line under Maple Street bridge

The town of Sutton wishes to inform all citizens that work will be carried out between August 2, 2021, and August 13, 2021, under the bridge of Maple Street. The protection work will involve the placement of rocks in the Sutton river bed underneath the bridge on Maple Street to protect the existent sewer line.

Here are the details of the work:

Start: Monday, August 2, 2021

Finish: Friday, August 13, 2021

Hindrances: (1) One lane open on Maple Street (from civic number 24 to civic number 41). Vehicles will cross alternately by means of a traffic light. (2) The parking lot of Godue Park will be closed during the work period.

These interferences may be altered due to operational or weather constraints.

For the safety of road users and workers, compliance with the signs in place is essential.

The Town has already received the necessary authorizations from the Ministère de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, the Ministère des Transports du Québec and from Fisheries and Oceans Canadato proceed with the works.
