For your comfort
We recommend that you avoid driving if possible: opt for active transportation—walking, biking, or riding a scooter—and, if you absolutely must drive, carpool!
Bring your own chair and a reusable water bottle that you can refill at the drinking water fountain available on site.
Reminder: The Town of Sutton is certified as a “Blue Community,” which means that the sale of plastic water bottles is not permitted at the celebration site.
Weather
Since we cannot predict the weather, we may need to announce, 24 hours before the festivities begin, possible changes to the schedule and location of the activities, depending on the two scenarios below. If this is the case, we will post an announcement on the Town’s website homepage, on the Town’s Facebook page, and on the Sutton Tourism Facebook page.
In case of light rain :
- The splash pad will be open;
- Depending on conditions, the pool will be open;
- Mini-putt, friendly competitions and face painting artists will be on site in Goyette-Hill Park;
- Food and beverage suppliers will be on site;
- The raising of the flag and the official speech will take place under the big tent;
- Concerts will continue under the big tent;
- Weather permitting, the fireworks display will take place.
In the event of a thunderstorm:
- The pool and splash pad will be closed;
- The mini-putt course, the inflatable play area, and the face-painting station will be moved to the Sutton School gym;
