Sutton’s musical program for the 2023 Fête Nationale du Québec

We are proud to reveal the musical program  for our great summer gathering taking place on Saturday June 24th at Goyette-Hill Park!

After  last year’s successful event, the Corporation de Développement Économique de Sutton (CDES)  along with the leisure, community life and culture service have once again mandated Sutton Encore with the planning e  of the musical part of the evening. . Starting at 6 p.m., Sutton Encore will present three concerts that will liven up the evening and make our citizens, young and old, dance to the sound of the francophone music of our region!

Opening act

Opening the program, Sutton’s Vox manifesta choir will stimulate your ears by singing French songs all in unison. Since 2019, the small, friendly choir has  gathered weekly in the heart of Sutton village priding connection through learning songs and creating  harmonies. Their performance will give the audience the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful and relaxing time.

Second act

In the second part, you will have the chance to move your body to the rhythm and music of Tom Chicoine. Born in St-Dominique-de-Bagot, “where rock is grown in the fields and in the quarry”, Tom Chicoine carves his own path with his songs. With his raw country music, his strong images, and his poise on stage, he quickly seduces his audience.

Finally, the party will be in full swing with headliner of the evening, Mon Doux Saigneur,  who will conquer your heart. Émerik St-Cyr Labbé has been practicing since 2014, under the name Mon Doux Saigneur, an amazing blend of haunting  folk, desert blues and country that grooves until it stirs the most hardened heart. He distills the raw sincerity of his slacker poetry while always keeping something comforting. With two critically acclaimed albums (Indie Rock Album of the Year at the GAMIQ in 2018, ADISQ and SOCAN Song Award nominations), Mon Doux Saigneur occupies ever larger stages across Quebec where the contagious and casual alchemy of his danceable affinity attracts more and more followers.

The complete official program for the National Holiday activities will be unveiled in early June: stay tuned!
