Temporary closure of the Sutton Municipal and School Library

Since work began on Monday, May 19, for a period of two weeks, we have tried to keep our services open. However, the complete occupation of the parking spaces by the work makes access to the library difficult and unsafe for our users and volunteers, especially those with reduced mobility.

Despite the provision of alternative parking facilities at the Sutton Legion and the Sutton Curling Club, many people were forced to park on Highland Street. However, this street is not an authorized parking zone, as it must remain accessible at all times to emergency vehicles, including fire department trucks.

In this context, we have taken the decision to temporarily suspend services to the public in order to ensure the safety and accessibility of all.
