University of the third age (UTA) of Brome-Missisquoi – Talks of the Société du temps libre
“CREATING, ALONE AND TOGETHER” WITH RAOÛL DUGUAY, WELL-KNOWN PHILOSOPHER AND ARTIST

To evolve is to create. To create is to create oneself, to change. To change is to create endlessly. Every person in search of autonomy of thought and freedom of action is committed: they create to adapt their environment to their needs. In order to better insert themselves into the social fabric and to better understand their physical and cultural environment. A society without dreams has no future. Without poetry, the world has no flavor and existence loses its meaning.

During this conference, the following themes will be discussed:

  • Qualities that foster creativity: curiosity, confidence and intensity.
  • Criteria for creativity: originality, productivity and variety.
  • Barriers to creativity: rules, seriousness, conformity.
  • Stepping stones to creativity: relaxation, daydreaming and meditation.

Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m.
Free activity
