Winter Pleasures 2026: a host of activities for the whole family, from Friday, February 13 to Sunday, February 15!
It is with great pleasure that the Town of Sutton and the Corporation de Développement économique de Sutton (CDES) announce the program for the Winter Pleasures event, to be held from Friday, February 13 to Sunday, February 15!
Friday, February 13: Disco Skating Evening at Goyette-Hill Park
The cant-miss Disco Skating Evening returns to Goyette-Hill Park on Friday, February 13, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.! Follow the event on Facebook!
On the program for the evening:
- DJ and festive lighting on the ice path
- Performances by artists from Productions Cirkaz
- Free coffee and hot chocolate to keep you warm
- Bar (cash only)



In the event of poor ice quality due to the weather, the activity is held outside the rink, in the park!
Saturday, February 14: Winter Fest in Goyette-Hill Park during the day and lantern walk in the evening
Saturday, February 14, from 1 to 4 p.m., it’s party time at Goyette-Hill Park!

Many free activities for the whole family are planned for this beautiful outdoor day:
- Free skating on our skating rink and ice path
- Loan of snow scooters for use on the ice path
- Coffee and hot chocolate (free) and alcoholic beverages (cash only).
- Maple taffy distribution
- Introduction to snowskate
- Winter soccer with Soccer Sutton
- Music, fireplaces and picnic area
- Face painting for children and hot soup provided by the CAB Sutton.
- Lantern-making until 3pm for the evening activity organized by PENS (information below)
New additions to the program this year!
- Giant interactive games: crazy skis, axe throwing and Connect4
- Introduction to Nordic walking with COOP Gym Santé Sutton. Poles provided! RDV at 2pm.
- Herbal tea distribution by Village Famille Sutton
At 1:30 p.m., the winners of the draw for participating in the Frosty Challenges Winter Quest will be announced. If you haven’t entered yet, now’s the time! You’ve got until Sunday, February 1 to go on an adventure!






Evening: Winter Lights from 4:15 pm to 6 pm on the Village-Mountain trail
Also on Saturday, February 14, from 4:15 to 6 p.m., the Parc d’environnement naturel de Sutton (PENS) proposes a lantern walk along the Village-Mountain trail, ending with storytelling, cookies and hot chocolate.
Bring your lantern (no flashlights) and dress warmly!
You can come and make your own lantern in the afternoon, at the PENS kiosk in Goyette-Hill Park, between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Meet in front of Sutton School at 4:15 p.m.
Sunday, February 15: Introduction to curling
On Sunday, February 15, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., the Sutton Curling Club opens its doors to introduce you to this winter sport!
Free 30-minute time slots, including equipment and coaching, will be offered at 1 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
On-site registration from 12:45 p.m.
This activity is for people aged 10 and over.
To ensure the safety of participants and maintain the quality of the ice, each person must bring clean sneakers or indoor shoes. The Club will provide the rubber soles needed to cover the shoes.
Meet at the Sutton Curling Club, 26 Pleasant Street.

Snowshoeing forest bathing on February 14, 9:30 a.m. to noon
Centre l’Arc-en-ciel invites you to a snowshoeing forest bathing outing on Saturday, February 14, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. This forest outing will include moments of silence in nature, and is open to people aged 15 and over. Bring your snowshoes!

Babygym open house on February 14, 9:30 a.m. to noon
On Saturday, February 14, starting at 9:30 a.m., come and meet Village Famille Sutton, a new organization dedicated to creating a vibrant, supportive parenting community. The organization is hosting an open house for its babygym activity, a play and motor skills area for toddlers, and a time for parents to get together.
Weather permitting, inflatable games will be set up outside!
Meet at the Sutton School gymnasium, 19 Highland Street.
Free hiking at PENS from February 9 to 14
From Monday, February 9 to Saturday, February 14 inclusive, PENS will be offering free access to the trails to residents of Sutton and Abercorn. To take advantage, simply present proof of residency at the PENS reception desk!
Free access and 50% off rentals at Plein air Sutton from February 16 to 20
From February 16 to 20, Plein air Sutton ‘s hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and fatbike trails will be accessible free of charge to residents of Sutton and Abercorn, with proof of residency.
Furthermore, you can rent equipment at half price (subject to availability): the perfect opportunity to try out a new sport!
À fond la glisse February 21 and 22
Plein air Sutton is organizing a cross-country ski initiation weekend with coaching and headlamp outings on Saturday evening, February 21. For more information, follow the event on Facebook.
Nature mystery game on the Village-Montagne trail
Until March 22, 2026, PENS is offering a winter quest on the Village-Montagne trail. In this nature mystery game, you will follow the trail of Scia, a grey squirrel in search of her precious winter food hidden in the forest!
This activity is free and bilingual. No equipment required!
