REMINDER: Paving of routes 139 and 215 and Maple Street will begin this Monday, June 1!
As indicated in its press release dated May 27, the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable (MTMD) will begin paving work on routes 139 and 215 and Maple Street in Sutton on Monday, June 1. The work will last approximately seven weeks, and will restore more than 7.5 km of pavement.
Location of work
The work will be carried out successively on sections of the following roads:
- Route 139 (Principale Street), between Rivière Street and Western Street.
- Route 215 (Academy Street), between Route 139 and Pleasant Street.
- Maple Street, between Route 139 and the ski area.
Important!
- Work will be carried out weekdays, Monday to Friday inclusive, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Traffic will alternate with the presence of escort vehicles and flagmen and flagwomen.
- Access to businesses and residences will be maintained at all times during the work.
- The speed limit will be reduced during the work.
- Respecting the signage in place is essential to ensure your safety and that of other workers.
- Operations could cause noise, dust and vibrations for residents and shopkeepers in the vicinity of the worksite.
Work may be postponed, extended or cancelled due to adverse weather conditions or operational constraints.
