Free Document Shredding Service Offered on September 10, 2026

For the fifth consecutive year, the Town of Sutton offers its residents a free document shredding service, reserved for individuals and small businesses in Sutton. The mobile truck providing the service will be present on Thursday, September 10, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., in the Town Hall parking lot.

Each year, the Town of Sutton uses a professional shredding service to destroy some of its archives. The provider sends a specially equipped mobile truck, which performs on-site shredding quickly, efficiently, and securely.

Designed as a drive-thru service, Sutton residents can easily benefit from it, exclusively and free of charge, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.: you can bring your boxes of documents to be destroyed to the truck and watch their shredding live via the camera that transmits the image to the side of the truck.

Instructions:

  • A maximum of 10 boxes per resident;
  • Only paper documents are accepted (sheets, envelopes, cardboard folders);
  • Staples, rubber bands, and paper clips are accepted;
  • No plastic bags or ring binders;
  • No electronic materials (e.g., computer disks prohibited).

It should be noted that the Town of Sutton has the right to destroy documents in accordance with its retention schedule and the authorization adopted by Resolution number 2026-07-311 at the Council Meeting of July, 8, 2026.
