Open house on waste management and treatment on September 14 and 17 in Cowansville

The Régie intermunicipale de gestion des matières résiduelles de Brome-Missisquoi (RIGMRBM) is opening its doors to the general public on Wednesday, September 14 and Saturday, September 17, in order to make people aware of the importance of composting and sorting residual materials at source, among other things, via the ecocenter.

For the citizens, it is a perfect opportunity to ask all their questions and to exchange with the employees of the RIGMRBM. A bus tour of the site lasting about an hour will allow you to discover the facilities, the different environmental protection technologies and the methods used to ensure safe management of residual materials.

This unique site in the region includes the regional ecocentre and its new reuse space, the composting platform, the engineered landfill site with biogas collection and burning, as well as the leachate treatment ponds.
