Respect, courtesy and kindness, please!

Sutton is spreading a smile

The Town of Sutton wishes to encourage positive relations between individuals, in all circumstances of our citizen life: in businesses, in public institutions and in private organizations. Everywhere, respect, courtesy and benevolence must guide our exchanges. Posters have been distributed in our businesses.

“We will not tolerate invective or verbal abuse of Town employees or elected officials,” said Mayor Robert Benoit at the last Council meeting. Indeed, there has been unacceptable aggressive behaviour towards Town officials in person and on social media.

As citizens, we have a duty to be respectful of one another.

A kindness campaign in the MRC

On the same theme, the Brome-Missisquoi MRC, in collaboration with the Town of Cowansville, the office of the provincial deputy Isabelle Charest and the RLS de la Pommeraie relay team of the CIUSS de l’Estrie – CHUS, has launched a campaign entitled “In Brome-Missisquoi, we cultivate kindness”.

After the difficult times of the last two years on a mental and physical level, the goal of this mobilization is to brighten our daily lives by sowing kindness. By expressing kindness to our loved ones, to strangers, as well as to ourselves, this kindness will generate, through a chain reaction, other acts of kindness. Kindness cards have been distributed throughout the MRC to create this chain of kindness.
