The Ministry of Transportation grants $1,901,563 to the Town of Sutton

The Brome-Missisquoi MNA, Isabelle Charest, announced today a government aid of more than $ 8.2 million for the improvement of the local road network in five municipalities of her riding, of which $1.9 million are attributed to Sutton.

“This is excellent news that will allow us to carry out important work,” said Mayor Robert Benoît. “We thank Minister François Bonnardel and MNA Isabelle Charest for their attention and support. This financial assistance is essential for our municipality to maintain the quality of its road network.”

Thanks to this funding, the Town of Sutton plans to carry out the following work:

  • Culvert work on Draper Road, North Sutton Road, Missisquoi Valley Road and Schweizer Road: replacement of 10 culverts and cleaning or repair of 6 culverts;
  • Surface work on North Sutton Road (2,180 metres): pulverization of existing pavement and new paving.
