Unveiling of 10 active circuits to move outdoors!

The Town of Sutton is proud to present the map of its ten active circuits designed to encourage walking, running or cycling from the village, using small roads and some trails criss-crossing Sutton. Their inauguration will take place next Tuesday, January 18, at 1 p.m.

A process of awareness to physical exercise

This project, led by the department of recreation, community life and culture, is part of our action plan “Coeur villageois”, an initiative of Tourisme Cantons-de-l’Est which aims to develop our living environment in harmony with its tourist appeal. It also responds to the approach of our Municipal Policy for Families and Seniors, one of whose objectives is to promote the active mobility of the population of Sutton.

Mayor Robert Benoît is delighted with the outcome of this project: ” These circuits add to the numerous active possibilities to move in Sutton. We encourage all our citizens to use them for the pleasure of rediscovering some of Sutton’s magnificent viewpoints.”

A variety of routes

Ten colour-coded circuits ranging from 1.5 to 8.5 km offer you the possibility to practise a great outdoor activity with your family, friends or alone, by choosing the degree of physical requirements that suits you. The map provides information on the length of the routes, viewpoints, water features, park locations and other practical information. A more detailed description of the routes can be found on the town’s website on the new active circuits page
