Winter Pleasures event and snow sculpture contest postponed two weeks

Due to the lack of snow and cold weather, the Town of Sutton has decided to postpone the date of the Winter Pleasures event to February 18th* and to prolong its Snow Sculpture Contest until February 8th. As a result, the conditions should be optimal to fully enjoy these winter pleasures!

Winter Pleasures: Saturday, February 18

Initially scheduled on February 4th, the Winter Pleasures event has been postponed to February 18th, to give us the chance to offer you all the activities that were planned and that depend on the snow and the cold, as well as the long-awaited opening of the skating rink and the ice trail!

Winter Pleasures is an event organized by the Town of Sutton, in collaboration with the Corporation de développement économique de Sutton. It offers to citizens of all ages and particularly families, all day long at the Goyette-Hill park, a festive atmosphere outdoors. Program: music, hot beverages, free winter activities and beautiful fireworks at the end of the day!

Snow sculpture contest: until February 8

Children and adults, experts and amateurs are invited to participate in our contest. They have the chance to win different prizes. The deadline for entries has been extended to February 8.

How does the contest work? It’s easy:

  1. Make a snow sculpture and take a picture of yourself with it.
  2. Fill out the form by clicking here.

Deadline to enter: February 8, 2023, at 4:30 p.m.

  • From February 10 to 15, 2023, photos of snow sculptures received will be voted on by the public on the Town’s social media networks
  • On February 18, 2023, the winners will be announced publicly at the event and on social media.
