Important reminder: Swimming is prohibited outside of supervised hours
The Town of Sutton has observed people swimming at the municipal pool outside of supervised hours. We would like to remind you that swimming is strictly prohibited when no lifeguard is on duty.
These rules are in place first and foremost to ensure everyone’s safety. Without supervision, an incident such as an injury, fainting, or drowning can quickly lead to serious consequences, even for experienced swimmers.
We would also like to remind you that offenders are subject to a minimum fine of $150.
The pool’s hours of operation are posted on our website at sutton.ca/aquatic-activities.
If you see someone swimming outside of supervised hours
If you see someone swimming outside of supervised hours, please call 9-1-1 so that the Sûreté du Québec can respond quickly. This situation may not seem urgent, but it could quickly become it, so it is important to report it immediately.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping to maintain a safe environment for everyone.
