Let’s get started on the Community Better Challenge!

Today, June 1st, marks the first day of ParticipACTION’s Community  Better Challenge. For the next 30 days, we invite you to move as much as you can, to make Sutton the most active community in Canada!

Sutton Dance: here is the choreography!

As announced in our news last week, the Town of Sutton has received funding from ParticipACTION to organize a participatory dance activity that will allow everyone to move while dancing and having fun, in groups or alone.

Maude Lecours, a well-known local artist, has created a short choreography as well as a video-tutorial to facilitate the learning of the choreography! Learn it now!

The goal is to get as many people as possible to learn the steps!

  • To create your own video with this choreography (which we will publish if you want!),
  • To meet us all together on June 28, at 5:30 pm on Principale Street to perform the choreography at the village level!

A program that makes you move!

Thanks to the collaboration of several motivated organizations, a great program has been put together to get you moving all month of June. Whether it’s one-time events or the regular activities of the territory’s organizations, there’s something for everyone!

Take a look at the program of events planned for June and some ideas for activities to get you moving!

Objectives of the Community Better Challenge

In addition to inviting Canadians to get moving and record their physical activity minutes, the Community Better Challenge will award a $100,000 Grand Prize to the community that gathers the most participants and accumulates the most active minutes in Canada. A $15,000 prize is also awarded across Quebec. The awards are for local physical activity projects.
