Hydro-Québec has carried out major work on the mountain

At the open-house meeting held in Sutton last February, Hydro-Québec made a commitment to improve service and system reliability on our territory. Hydro-Québec presents the follow-up and update of its action plan to date.

Every week since last March, several Hydro-Québec crews have been working on various projects in the Sutton area. In August, the company announced major vegetation control work (tree-cutting, preventive felling, etc.) and network protection measures.

In the mountain sector, a disconnect switch has been added at the corner of chemin Duhamel and rue Maple: it will make it possible to contain a possible downstream failure and maintain power on the line between the village and the disconnect switch, which was not the case before. In addition, from September 10 to 13, Hydro-Québec concentrated its work at Mont Sutton to increase the reliability of the network at the ski resort, for the benefit of all residents.
