Public Safety

For all emergency situations requiring the police, firefighters, EMTs or any other public emergency service, you must dial 9-1-1.

Moreover, if you witness an incident that requires the assistance of the municipal works department (tree blocking a public road, broken water main, etc.) outside of town hall’s office hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), please report it by calling 9-1-1. The call will be forwarded to the appropriate individual.

Mandate

The Town of Sutton cares about the safety of its citizens, who are themselves actively involved in the welfare of their community.

Few cities in Quebec can count on a team of first responders that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and on a team of firefighters who receive training on a regular basis in order to stay at the cutting edge of technology. The Public Safety Department also works hard to do more prevention than intervention since safety begins at home!
