Convocation to the register of qualified voters – Loan By-Law number 302
Outcome of the objections (register)
The Town received zero (0) objection (register) by mail, in the drop box or by email at [email protected] between May 13, 2020 and May 28, 2020, regarding the Loan By-Law number 302.
During the council meetings of April 27 and May 4, 2020, the Town announced that the Loan By-Law 302 will be adopted following the procedure prescribed by the Government of Quebec in the Ministerial Order 2020-008. As mentioned, a public notice was published on May 5, 2020 asking citizens to send their written comments to the Town before May 20, 2020.
On May 7, 2020, the Government of Quebec modified the rules and, by Ministerial Order 2020-033, cancelled the above-mentioned proceedings. Instead, the Government of Quebec provided a revised registration process. Following the Ministerial Order 2020-033, qualified voters must now send a letter to the Town by email, mail or deposited in the drop box at the Town Hall. This letter will be considered as a signature on a register. Details of the new procedure appears in the following public notice:
