News from the Ukrainian Refugee Committee – fundraising on August 7 and first money distribution

BENEFIT RECITAL AND EXHIBITION AT ABERCORN ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 7

PARTICIPATE IN THE FUNDRAISING FOR UKRAINIAN REFUGEES IN SUTTON!

On Sunday, August 7th, a recital and exhibition will be held in support of a fundraiser organized by citizens of Abercorn, the Abercorn Culture and Heritage Association and its cultural center, the Ukrainian Refugee Committee of Sutton and citizens of Lac Brome (Knowlton) and Montreal.

What a great synergy for a great cause! Come in large numbers, it will be a very pleasant Sunday afternoon!

When : Sunday August 7th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

FIRST MONEY DISTRIBUTION BY THE COMMITTEE

Ken Hill and Michel Lafrance present a $1,000 cheque to Denys Kuzmenko on behalf of the committee.

The distribution of the money raised for the Ukrainian refugees has begun! A first cheque was given to Denys Kuzmenko to help him settle in the community.

Another family of four, consisting of two adults and two children, has just been welcomed to Sutton by Roxanne and Peter Statsny.

We have now officially received nine Ukrainian refugees!
