Free tree distribution in Sutton on Saturday, May 21

As part of the International Day for Biodiversity on May 22 and Tree and Forest Month, the Town of Sutton will be distributing some 400 free hardwood tree seedlings to its residents on Saturday, May 21, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. or until the lot is sold out. The trees are late cherry, red oak and red maple.

The distribution will be done by Councillors who wish to take this opportunity to meet with citizens.

Those wishing to take advantage of this offer must go to the Town Hall parking lot and present proof of residence. A maximum of two trees per address and/or owner will be given (bring a bag).

These trees are offered free of charge by the Ministère de la Forêt, de la Faune et des Parcs and the Association forestière du Sud du Québec.

Where: Town Hall parking lot, 11 Principale Street South
When: Saturday, May 21, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or until the lot runs out
How : Bring an ID proving you are a resident of Sutton + bring a bag
How many: Two tree per address and/or owner; only one tree per species
