Useful information : Fête nationale du Québec in Sutton

The Fête nationale du Québec festivities in Sutton will take place on the site of the former Filtex factory (14 rue Dépôt) on Monday, June 24, starting at 1 p.m.

Here’s some useful information to help you get to the site and prepare for your day of activities.

Access to the site

To guarantee the safety of the event site, Dépôt Street will be closed to traffic, and a welcome station will be set up at the corner of Dépôt and Principale Streets. Our volunteers will be happy to welcome you to the site and answer any questions you may have.

To help you get around and avoid traffic, we invite you to come to Filtex on foot or by bike! Bike racks are available:

  • in the front yard of City Hall;
  • in Veterans Park ;
  • in the John-Sleeth Community and Cultural Centre parking lot.

If you have to get around by car, please note that Dépôt and Pine Street parking lots will be reserved for artists and event suppliers. We invite you to use the following parking lots:

  • Municipal parking lot near Veterans Park (Pleasant Street);
  • Post Office parking lot (Principale North Street);
  • IGA grocery store parking lot (Principale North Street);
  • Water Source parking lot (Route 215 / Pleasant Street);
  • Western Street grass parking lot (where the city distributes compost);
  • Health Centre parking lot (Principale North Street).

We invite you to bring cash to quench your thirst with drinks from our many partners, and to buy tickets for a chance to win a prize! 

Alcoholic beverages: beers from Auberge Sutton Brouërie, unless you prefer a margarita from Le Gato or wine, white or red, from Vignoble Domaine Bresee. Raffle tickets will be available at the Liquor Booth for $3 for 1 ticket and $5 (cash only) for 3 tickets. The draw will take place at 7:30 p.m. on the music stage.

The Town of Sutton is a certified Blue Community, which means that no plastic water bottles are permitted for sale on the Fête nationale du Québec site. We therefore invite you to bring a reusable bottle to fill up at the on-site drinking water fountain.
