The launch date of the Golden Snowflake winter adventure course has been brought forward to Wednesday, November 29!
Good news for families and children this week: Golden Snowflake winter adventure coursel, which was due to be launched on December 2, will be open in advance to budding adventurers this Wednesday, November 29. Don’t hesitate, adventure awaits!
As announced on November 21, the Town of Sutton is launching a winter adventure course that will take you on a great quest through the village! Starting December 2, go on an adventure with your family or friends!
Like a treasure hunt, you’ll have to solve questions and mysteries to reach the ultimate goal: discover the Golden Snowflake. This activity is intended for families with children aged 7 to 12, but everyone is welcome to go on this adventure! A great activity for the whole family to enjoy during your visit to the Christmas Market on the second weekend and afterwards, until February 4.
The adventure
Legend has it that only once every 100 years does an extremely rare eight-pointed golden flake fall from the sky. According to research by the Great Adventurer Strombolini, the golden snowflake will only appear to those who prove to the forest guardians that they possess and master the 8 essential values of a good adventurer. Think you’ve got what it takes? Get ready to complete a GPS rally dotted with challenges, riddles and games.
Watch out, you’ll have a maximum of 80 minutes before the snowflake disappears for another 100 years!
How to play the game
Download the free Quests to Go app onto your phone or tablet to be guided through the activity. The app will show you the location of the games as well as give you clues, and validate your answers.
Download the app on Google Play (Android) or on the App Store (Apple).
One device per group is sufficient. To start the game, enter the access code shown on the start poster at 14 du Dépôt Street (on the former Filtex site).
To play without using cellular data, download the application while your device is connected to the Internet. Enter the code GOLD23 and download the game before heading to the starting point.
At each location, you’ll have to complete a series of challenges in order to receive the coordinates of the next destination, until you find the golden flake!
At the end of the course, you will be invited to fill out a survey to enter a draw for a chance to win a participation prize. The draw, presented by Sutton Tourism, will take place during Winter Pleasures on February 10, 2024!
