Photo contest for the national holiday of Quebec

The Town of Sutton is organizing a photo re-enactment contest on the occasion of the Fête Nationale du Québec 2021. In the spirit of this day which celebrates our history, this contest will allow you to honour our local past while having fun. Connect with Sutton’s forefathers by revisiting these historical photos of the village and its inhabitants.

Contest rules:

  • From the 6 photos suggested by the Town, choose the one you would like to recreate. Please note that you may submit more than one photo.
  • Try to recreate as many elements of the photo as possible, such as the setting, number of people, clothing, objects, etc. Tip: Some of the buildings in the photos are still there and can be used to replicate the scene.
  • Once you have taken your photo, attach it to the form that you must fill out online on our website at: https://sutton.ca/en/recreation-and-sports/recreation-and-sports-events/

Three prizes are to be won, thanks to the generosity of our partners Mont Sutton, Le Diable vert and Parc d’environnement naturel de Sutton (PENS).

Procedure of the contest

You have until June 20, 2021 at noon to participate.

A committee within the Town’s Recreation, Community Life and Culture Department will select from the best entries. The chosen photos will then be put to a public vote on social medias from June 21 to June 23, 2021 at noon.

The winner will be announced on Quebec’s national holiday, June 24, 2021!
