A service for people without a family doctor!
If you don’t have a family doctor and need to see a health-care professional soon for an active health issue:
Call 811 and select option 3. You will be automatically directed to the primary-care access call centre (CAP).
To access the service, you must be registered on the waiting list for a family physician through the Québec Family Doctor Finder (GAMF) or be under the care of a physician group.
On the telephone, you can:
- Explain to the staff member who answers why you want an appointment.
- After the assessment of your needs, you will then be offered the appropriate service, which might be provided by a nurse, social worker, pharmacist, family doctor, or another health-care professional.
- We will try to meet your needs close to where you live. If this is not possible, we will offer you another choice in Estrie.
