Sutton’s New Director of Urban Planning Starts On April 12, 2021

Sutton’s municipal council and administration are pleased to announce the hiring of Claude Théberge as the director of the Urban and Land-Use Planning Department.

Mr. Théberge has acquired 35 years of experience as an urban planner, with 25 years in the public sector followed by 10 years in the private sector as an urban planning consultant. Throughout his career, Mr. Théberge has worked on urban and land-use planning and development projects, as well as developing strategic visions and planning tools.

Coming to work in Sutton is for him a natural return to his roots: “I started my career at the MRC Brome-Missisquoi,” said Mr Théberge. “It’s a region that I adore and I felt the need to return to the public sector. The size of this municipality is of particular interest to me because it permits a closer connection between the administration and its citizens.”

Sutton is happy to welcome Claude Théberge aboard, confident that his expertise in urban regulation, planning, and team management will prove to be a valuable asset for the Town.
