The Nocturnes are free for Sutton homeowners and residents all summer long. Next projection is July 5th at 6:30 p.m.

In partnership with the Sutton School of Art, the Town of Sutton is offering exclusive free tickets to Sutton residents and homeowners to attend film screenings as part of the Nocturnes program.


Les Nocturnes, a tribute to Quebec auteur cinema in Sutton

Held in the enchanting setting of the Sutton School of Art, les Nocturnes will present films from Quebec auteur cinema under the stars, on selected Friday evenings from June 21 to September 20, 2024. A great atmosphere awaits spectators with: refreshment bar with popcorn and nibbles, thrift shop sale, children’s art exhibition and surprise musical performances will be offered before the film presentation by the filmmaker or a member of the production, followed by the film screening at sunset. Please note that the films will be presented in their original French language with English subtitles.

Screening dates are as follows: July 5 and 19, August 2 and 9, September 6 and 20.
Don’t forget to bring your chair, blanket and admission ticket!

If you don’t qualify for free admission, the fee is $10.

It’s with great pleasure that we welcome you this friday, July 5, for an evening of animation, imagination and travel. As with all Nocturnes this summer, we’ll be showcasing one short film and one feature-length film:

Do you live or own a property in Sutton? You can attend the Nocturnes screenings for free! Here’s what you need to do:

  • Present yourself at the Town Hall reception desk, during opening hours, with proof of identity with address and photo. A maximum of 4 tickets per person is available when you pick up free tickets.
  • Present yourself at the reception desk during the Nocturnes screenings, with proof of address and photo ID. A maximum of 4 tickets per person are available at the Nocturnes reception desk on screening nights.
  • Free tickets are distributed only at the Sutton Town Hall reception desk and at the Nocturnes reception desk at the Sutton School of Art;
  • Tickets are available only to adults aged 18 and over, with proof of residency.
  • Proof of residency is required in the form of :
    • Driver’s license with address and photo;
    • Cable, telephone or Hydro-Québec bill or municipal or school tax notice and photo ID;
    • Original copy of lease signed by landlord and photo ID

Not qualifying for free admission? A $10 fee will be charged at the entrance to the site.
