The Town is closely monitoring the outage situation with Hydro-Québec
Published on Dec 12, 2023
We have received a multitude of calls, e-mails and complaints about the power outages of recent weeks. Although this situation is beyond our control, we would like to assure the public that we are in constant discussion with Hydro-Québec officials. We are putting pressure on them to secure and stabilize Sutton’s power grid.
According to the information received, the power outages of the last few days are caused by the effect of the weather on the distribution network. Hydro-Québec teams are working hard to restore power to all affected homes as quickly as possible. We are well aware of the inconvenience these interruptions are causing our population, and we are vigorously representing the interests of Suttonnais to Hydro-Québec.
We have been informed that a major vegetation control plan is being developed by Hydro-Québec, which will improve this type of situation in the future.
If you don’t have electricity and your situation requires our collaboration, please contact us at Town Hall at 450 538-2290 or by e-mail at [email protected].
