Western Street reconstruction site – Work Info as of August 30, 2024

The Public Works and Fixed Assets Department wishes to provide you with this important update for the upcoming week of September 2.

In the southern parking lot of Goyette Hill Park: only two parking spaces will be available for people with reduced mobility.

In the northern parking lot of Goyette Hill Park: the parking lot will remain closed until September 6 inclusively, as the reinforced gravel surfacing has not yet been completed.

Park users will be able to enter the park via the bicycle path.
The use of alternative parking is mandatory.

Completion of phase 3: completion of sewer and water mains installation.

Start of phase 4:

  • Finalization of sidewalk and concrete curb preparation
  • Installation of interlocking paving stones in the north and south parking lots.
  • Coming soon: Removal of temporary water supply network (date to be confirmed)

Temporary restrictions:

  • Civic numbers 68 to 98: access to Western Street from Principale Street North
  • Civic numbers 104 to 138: access to Western via Route 215

Work may be modified or cancelled due to operational constraints or weather conditions.
