J’inviterai l’enfance nominated for a Municipal Ovation Award of Merit!
It is with great pride that we announce the project for young children J’inviterai l’enfance is a finalist for the Mérite Ovation Municipal Award from the Union des Municipalités du Québec (UMQ) under the “Living environment, culture and living together category’’.
This project, started by the Town of Sutton in 2019 and supported by the Town of Cowansville, was selected for its originality, its impact on the community and its innovative approach, which enabled seven municipalities to join forces to equip and raise awareness in the cultural and early childhood sectors on the importance of cultural experience for children aged 0 to 5.
We thank the municipalities of Cowansville, Dunham, Brome Lake, Saint-Ignace-de-Stanbridge and Bromont for joining forces with Sutton to make this project a reality within the region and to allow early childhood educators, distributors and artists to learn about each other andthe importance of offering cultural activities for young children.
We congratulate and wish the best of luck to the projects selected in the other six categories of the Mérite Ovation municipale Award, as well as to the two other finalists in ‘’Living environment, culture and living together’’ category, the Towns of Vaudreuil-Dorion and Drummondville.
Organized for the past 18 years, the UMQ’s Mérite Ovation Municipal Award is a highly sought-after recognition in the municipal field, as it highlights the work of municipalities, MRCs and municipal organizations that have put forward original solutions to optimally meet the needs of their community.
