Call for projects for the Programme d’aide financière aux infrastructures récréatives, sportives et de plein air

Isabelle Charest, Member of the National Assembly for Brome-Missisquoi and Minister responsible for Sport, Recreation and Outdoors, has announced the launch of the Programme d’aide financière aux infrastructures récréatives, sportives et de plein air (PAFIRSPA – Financial assistance program for recreational, sports and outdoor infrastructures), a call for projects for the construction, development, renovation and improvement of sports, recreational and outdoor infrastructures.

This program will enable municipalities, non-profit organizations, solidarity cooperatives, schools and higher education establishments, as well as First Nations and Inuit organizations, to submit projects.

Projects could benefit from financial assistance of up to 66% of eligible costs, to a maximum of $20 million for sports and recreational infrastructure (Component 1) and $200,000 for outdoor infrastructure (Component 2). Depending on the component targeted, applications must be submitted by December 5, 2023 for Component 1 and by November 5, 2023 for Component 2.
