Hydro-Québec continues its efforts in Sutton

At the open-house meeting held in Sutton last February, Hydro-Québec made a commitment to improve service and system reliability on our territory. Hydro-Québec presents the follow-up and update of its action plan to date.

For several years now, our territory has been experiencing major power outages due to weather conditions and the failure of our aging network. This situation is exacerbated by the presence of too many branches near the wires. Hydro-Québec has embarked on a vast campaign of vegetation control, network protection, distribution network maintenance and transmission network maintenance.

The Town of Sutton is pleased with Hydro-Québec’s proactivity and highly satisfactory efforts to ensure the quality of its service. In particular, the fact that construction of a new line and transformer station has been brought forward by four years is excellent news for our network. The Town will keep up its regular follow-up meetings with Hydro-Québec, to ensure that all aspects of the action plan are implemented over the next few years.
